In moments of heartache, trials,
disappointments, and discouragement, most people want to know if
there is a God Who understands our feelings and cares about us. When
your total perspective in life begins and ends with self, there is
very little comfort and hope. When your dreams are shattered, your
ideals destroyed, and your goals unrealized, a certain emptiness
remains that only God can fill. The big question about the origin of
all things, death, and life after death are answered satisfactorily
only when we root our understanding in the presence and existence of
God, a God Who knows the beginning and the end of all things and Who
is personally involved in the course of human lives and events. That
God really does exist! He is personal and knowable, and He is
"THE GOD OF THE BIBLE."

Dr. David Hocking has
been preaching and teaching for 40 years.
David has been a pastor at churches in Ohio
and Southern California, and has been teaching
on the radio since 1970.

Hope For Today was founded by
Dr. David Hocking. David was born in
Long Beach California and after high school
David attended Bob Jones University in
Greenville, South Carolina, where he graduated
with a B.A. in Bible, Greek, and Ancient
History.
After college David
attended Grace Theological Seminary in Winona
Lake, Indiana, where he received his M. Div.
degree in Bible Studies.
David also continued
graduate studies and received a Doctor of
Ministry degree as well as a Ph.D. degree in
Biblical Studies and Languages.
David also received a Doctor
of Laws degree, being honored by Biola
University.
